                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 309 SIGNAL
                   MOUNTAIN ROAD, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF
                   SIGNAL MOUNTAIN ROAD SOUTHEAST OF RUNYAN DRIVE,
                   FROM R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE
                   COMMERCIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 309 Signal Mountain
                Road, being on the northeast line of Signal
                Mountain Road southeast of Runyan Drive.  All that
                part of lot 2, Corrective Plat, J. E. Edmonds
                Subdivision on Signal Mountain Boulevard, as shown
                by plat of record in plat book 46, page 169, ROHC,
                which lies within the City of Chattanooga; being
                part of the property described in deed book 4036,
                page 655, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 126B-C-10.1 (part).
               
               
         from R-1 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Dedication of right-of-way as required by City 
Traffic
                   Engineer.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
